Overview

There is no better place than a vibrant market in any country to discover the local culture, get up, close and personal with locals, practise your language skills and get a real feel of the destination. The 'bargain in a market' sessions are therefore a favourite at Globe From Home across all the countries.

And when it comes to exploring a market in France, we could not think of any place better than the Sanary-sur-mer Market in Provence, which has been voted as the best market in France.

The vibrant colours, scents, noises, and tastes of this seaside market on the French Riviera make it a genuine standout destination. The town is located in Provence's center between Marseille and Toulon, and its winding streets are lined with lovely buildings. There are about 300 kiosks at the pleasant market. Honey, olive oil, wine, cheese, spices, fruits and vegetables, and of course the freshest sea food are all available. Colorful baskets, flowers, pottery and table cloths may be found among the shady plane trees along the Allées Estienne d'Orves.

On this live tour we will walk around the market as our local presenter gets us up and close with the difference stalls. You will have the opportunity to interact with shopkeepers and bargain for goods. (Those wanting to buy a local produce can also do so with the help of our presenter).

A unique session that will give you the best insights into local life in France.
